This error could be caused by two factors:
The software's compatibility with your operating systems is partially supported or missing at all. Typically, a new version should fix this.
The software's installation is corrupted. You can fix through a reinstallation.

When you transfer the pictures from your camera to your PC, the date and time are saved on your computer as a part of the information that is stored with each image. You can't configure the photos through Sony Picture Utility to display the date, but you can use a picture editor from Software Informer database and add a watermark on each photo. In order to find out the date a picture was taken, right-click the file, select Properties and click the Details tab. The date is displayed below the Authors next to Date taken.
